It's a shame, this place has the potential to really make money not only for the business but for the servers too. Unfortunately, its poorly run. The place stays empty because they don't seem to want new patrons. Currently, patrons seem to be local and over age 50. Their football "specials" are more like a bait and switch. There are no food specials and only the worst tapped beer are discounted only a little. There is so much room that every time we have gone in it looks empty. The crab dip is excellent. The seafood salad was disgraceful, the mussles were good and so were the fish tacos. The service seems embarrassed and usually more chatty with their friends then interested in serving new guests. Trivia on Wednesday is fun (mostly because of the MC), but they need to advertise more. This place would be AMAZING for football/baseball but they don't utilize their space correctly nor do they offer any incentives to bring in a younger (20-40 crowd).

This is a great place to come after a Bay Area Shuckers basketball game, you get to meet all of the players and dancers after the games! Not only that but the food specials are great and if you're hungry order the crab dip, it is cheesy and delicious and served in a bread bowl...yum! On Saturday nights they often have a band playing so don't go there hoping to chat with friends, this is most definitely a place to dance and celebrate and the drinks are quite reasonable so that's a bonus!

Came here to support my friends band play. The bar was really big and dining area was pretty spacious. I didn't get food since I had previously eaten and only ordered some bud lights. It's pretty hard to mess that up so I'm basing this rating solely on the fact that their AC was broken so with 100+ people it got pretty hot quick. You had to take frequent trips to the very small patio area.

Never again....ever. First, this is a bar that serves food, not a tap house and grill. Beer selection is nothing impressive but the bar area is huge, pool tables, stage, etc. we arrived at 6:30 on a Thursday night. Trivia was going on but the place was only 1/4 full. It was pretty empty in there. Our waitress was so weeded and overwhelmed. Service was SLOW. It took over an hour for our food. Our waitress explained it was because everyone ordered at the same time and our order went in last. Like I stated, it wasn't very busy. They comped one of our meals for the inconvenience (the cheapest one). My seafood medley was half cold (broccoli, asparagus, shrimp and scallops were room temp at best) and mostly undercooked (crab cake) or over cooked (shrimp). I expect better for $20+ meal. That's what I get for ordering seafood from a bar. Not worth it.

Staff is great... meals are good. Doesn't get too crowded during the week. Good place to chill and wind down

Never going back! They are stupid and they manager is a complete bonehead. They wouldn't serve us because our IDs were out of state. If you have a bar know the differences between all of the states IDs especially if you are in an airport city!

This is a decent place. They have ok food. I have only had apps here so that's all I can speak of. They have decent specials on beer. The bar staff is always attentive and on top of their game. They are friendly if you are in the mood to talk. They have all type of weekly events here so there is always something for everyone. The only downside is the place just seems to big. I don't know. It just looks huge and I guess that that makes it feel empty But over all a good place for a app and a beer.

CLOSED FOR GOOD MAY 31st, 2015, sorry to see them go. We loved the seafood nachos on 1/2 price Friday happy hour.

If this is the same Shuckers that closed up shop and moved to Glen Dirty it's probably best that they did. They were spending too much money and wasting prime space in Fells Pt. only for a marginal lackluster bar and grill. Well, take away the awesome scenery and outdoor seating of the Fells location and you're left with a played out strip mall bar. Food is blah and beer selection is Bud Lite/Coors style. Came here to see the Reagan Years and the place was packed but it was just full of bodies. Even when the place is packed it's kinda boring. Luckily it was easy to cheese out to the band and have a great time on the dance floor. I would have no reason to come back here on the merits of this bar alone.

I hadn't been in since this place was Whispers, and honestly didn't even know they'd changed hands, so I was curious to see what it was like under the new management. They've done a really good job with the place, very nice wrap-around bar, good dance floor, and lots of TV screens to watch the game. I didn't get to try any of the food (will definitely be back for that), but the drinks were cold, the service fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was fun. What more could you ask for?

I have been to Shuckers 3 times since it has opened. The decor is very nice, I have loved the food, so far everything I have ordered has been great. However on 2 occasions I have had a issue with one of the bartenders (as I see I'm not the only one). This has put a bad taste in my mouth for this place. The first incident I was sitting at the bar with my friend and this bartender/ manager Pam acted as though we were inconveniencing her by ordering drinks. She didn't smile, looked angry, then we over heard her cussing at one of the waitresses. Very unprofessional and made us uncomfortable. The other bartender was so much nicer and kept a conversation going with us as we could tell she looked just as uncomfortable as we were. We thought maybe this girl Pam was just having a bad day. Then we go in again to watch the play offs... Clearly they were understaffed. The bartender was very nice and apologized profusely for the wait (which actually wasn't too bad considering all the people that were piling in). Again food, drinks and shots were great. Then the manager comes in.. By this time the bar had emptied a bit. We could see that she was again unhappy. Then we hear her (Pam the manager) talking about the bartender because apparently she was upset that she had to come in? Even though she was rudely talking about this bartender to customers she was being nice to people and we actually saw her smile. Then the other bartender was gone and we didn't get to cash out with her. We asked about it and Pam rudely told us that she had to come in and take over so she was now taking care of that tab. Then the attitude that we had seen before came back. We decided to leave shortly afterward and go elsewhere. The drinks were not as good as they had been and she just seemed to bring everyone down. It was all very unprofessional. We overheard the people next to us complaining that Pam was there and in a "mood" again. So we talked to them and found out the owners name. I have left a message for him with no call back yet. I will not return until I talk to him. This manager is not only rude to her employees but customers as well. It's a shame because I believe this could be a great spot to hang out :(

I'm planning on updating this with more details later, but after my first visit I was fairly pleased with Shuckers. The dining room was spacious and clean. Everything looked new (probably because it was renovated after its former life as a strip-club. Shhhh). They had a couple of good beers on tap with decent prices. The service was between neutral and friendly. Their happy hour menu is pretty impressive. 50% off appetizers during happy hour which, I think, ends at 7. I had their crab dip in a bread bowl and the mini crab cakes. The bread bowl is a great idea. Unfortunately I found their crab dip to be too rich for my taste. It's not that it was bad, it was just pretty thick. I imagine that they simply mixed spices, cream cheese, and crab together to make it. If you're going for the dip in a bread bowl, I'd recommend having at least 3 people with you because I assure you it will feed at least that many. The mini crab cakes, though, were awesome. Flavorful and hot. I will certainly be ordering them again. The rest of the menu looked like a pretty standard spread of sandwiches and seafood. That's not to say nothing looked interesting. I'll give some other items a shot and report back in.

We found them solely because my friends band was playing there close to Halloween. Had a few beers and enjoyed the band. Kind of basic strip mell bar/dinning but the beer choices were decent and staff very welcoming. Went back last night for dinner and Mickey Cucciella. (He was incredibly funny but the review isn't about him) The food was really pretty great! Awesome crab soup, very flavorful and chunky full of fresh veggies and crab. Hubby had Maryland wings, they were right on par with the ones at his favorite place. I had tuna taco. I LOVE fish tacos. I forgot to ask that the tuna be rare but it was cooked perfectly. Nice amount of spice, seared on the outside and nice and pink in the middle. Made almost like a gordito, soft wrap with crunchy shell inside. Came with veggies and a creamy wasabi sauce. My only disappointment, for a place called a tap house, the craft beer selection wasn't great. They all fell in the pale ale category and that isn't a style i like.

I'm updating my review to this place. We stopped in for lunch & beer. The menu had changed...had been down graded. Prices have gone up. Staffing has also been downgraded. We had our over priced beer & left. Didn't care to find out how much the food quality has also declined. Not going back. I give it a year before they close.

The service here is horrible at best...I know i'm not the only one who feels this way. As for the food ,,,well ,,, ehh,,, not to taint other patrons but,, I had a real bad experience there to say the least.. even though it was not their fault, but still it was something I should not go in to publically. The place was nice when it was Whispers and had decent bands,, now for me the jury is out. But the one resounding thing is the poor service. Maybe that "Bar Rescue" show could help
